Description and indication about the best tracks to run in the Madeira Island. All hover the island there are nice trails for training, beside the relative small size of Madeira, it has very different type of trails with amazing landscapes that change a lot from place to place. Giving the amount of trails available, we decided to organize them by municipality, having in mind where it start and end as the geographical reference.   

The presented trails are circular (starting and ending on the same place), so this way you can easily drive to the start of it without any transportation problems.

The famous "Levadas", much sought by the traditional visitor of the island, are by itself great tracks for running in the amazing Laurissilva Forest. Porto da Cruz Official Trail Running Training Tracks 

Madeira Island has the first signalized track especially for Trail Running in Portugal.

The tracks are mantain by the parish council of Porto da Cruz and offers 3 main distances/tracks - 9km, 19km ou 35km - plus several smaller tracks arount the main ones. The three main track are all signalized e go all around the council of Porto da Cruz, they all start and end right on the center of the villa of the north of the Madeira island.
