São Vicente, for sure one of the municipalities more typical or rural from the Madeira Island, and for sure one with the most trails in the north of the island.
With the growing of trail running with was a matter of time for some trails in this area to became very known not only for locals bur also for those who visit Madeira. For you just to have an idea of how many trail you can find here... just think in the fact that in the 4 first month of 2016 this municipality had received nothing less than 4 big events of trail running...
Those events, Boa Ventura Trail, Ultra Trail Porto Moniz São Vicente, São Vicente - Madeira Trail Series and the world class MIUT all visited different trails in São Vicente what is the given proof that this is one fantastic place for running in the mountains.
