Luís Fernandes was born in Jardim da Serra (Câmara de Lobos) and start running in trail running/sky running events only in 2012, achieving since is first races very relevant results, being almost always on the podium of every race he enters.
In his still short career he has already great results at the highest international level, but the highlight goes to his victory of the Madeira Island Ultra Trail in 2015, being the is madeiran athlete to achieve this goal.
