In an event that the organization in charge of Clube Aventura da Madeira already accustomed us to the highest level, the competition was really intense up to the finish line! In fact the winner was only decided in the final part of the race.
The Santana Ultra Sky Marathon had one of the best entry list in any event occurred in the Madeira Island, and that was shown in the race itself with the first places disputed all along the 55km, and the winner Cristofer Clemente only achieving the leadership on the last kilometers of the race. In evidence was the local athlete Luís Fernandes that has done a very intelligent race, controlling the pace on the start and keeping almost always in the top 3, finishing exactly as 3rd overall! A fantastic result for a local athlete against some of the elite racers of the world.
The overall winner were Critofer Clemente (Men's competition) and Gemma Arenas (Women's competition)!
